It looks and feels solid and well enough built to handle it's max speed which is important. One of the coolest looking and most fun e-scooters the market has seen is the WideWheel, which is now upgraded and even better in the Pro version. Max speed is now 26 mph (41.8 kph) and this one packs great acceleration as it drives on both wheels. This is a power package best suited for paved roads and smooth surfaces. The name of it says it all, the wheels are very wide and although they are solid, they are filled with foam and actually flex when you press your thumb on them. The designers of the Uberscoot 1600W probably had the fun loving off road weekend warrior in mind more than the average commuter. It sits on big knobby 12 inch off road tires that look like they can handle some heavy duty terrain with front and rear suspension to match. It comes with the option of a quick release seat in case you feel the need to rest your weary legs.
Overall build quality is ok, but some customers have reported some issues on delivery. Seat is not the best one, and one can assume that it is a bit of a challenge to get a proper seat fitted on such a small motorized vehicle that produces a lot of power, let alone a quick release option.
The front light and some of the body cover is also a bit flimsy. Suggestion is to go over all nuts and bolts on delivery and tighten everything up properly. And you will want that as this baby does 30 mph (48 kph), but why doesn't it come with a speedometer? For stopping power it relies on front and rear disc brakes. This is not a long distance scooter though as the range is 12 miles (20 km) which is another indicator of it's intended use. There is a speed setting that allows for economy mode to get some more mileage out of it but hey....you don't buy this to get from a to b and back. This is about power, and fun at high speed. It will climb most inclines without hesitation due to it's powerful battery pack. Is this the best electric scooter for off road fun out there? Probably not but well worth putting on the shortlist as it's relatively low price is also a factor to consider.

Qiewa Q1 Hummer
Moving up the scale of speed brings us to the Q1 Hummer. This one will propel you down the road at a top speed of 37 mph (59.5 kph) and also deliver a range of 68 miles (109 km), of course depending on which gear you use, of which it has three. This is not specifically designed for off road but can handle some rougher surfaces you might encounter on your long ride. One of our definite favorites is the Mantis, sold by FluidFreeride who has also given us the WideWheel. The Mantis seems to tick a lot of boxes, which is something the competition has not yet refined to the same effect it would seem. Looking at price, performance, speed, ride quality, it is a very good package. It comes in two versions, Base and Pro, the difference is in battery capacity and affects mileage but not top speed which is 40 mph (64 kph) when using turbo button, and that makes this a seriously fast electric scooter.
Difference is also fully dual hydraulic disc brakes for the Pro, whereas on the Base it's semi hydraulic. In any case, stopping power is brilliant. It is a dual engine version and you can choose to use single or dual mode, depending on if you want to go at max speed or prefer a little longer range. 30+/45+miles (48+/72+km) range for Base/Pro version in eco mode is a very good distance and it will still do 30 mph (48 kph)!
It has a very good front and rear spring arm suspension and together with air filled 10 inch tires it provides a very smooth ride and will allow for cruising on dirt or gravel trails in the forest, as well as the odd jump over curbs or other obstacles if not an outright off road weapon. Solidly put together, high quality, and easy to use and ride, makes this one of the best electric scooters for the commuters as well as fun seeking weekend adventurers.

If you don't want to mess about and you take your e-scooter off roading seriously...then you will probably want to have a look at the Wolf Warrior also sold by FluidFreeride. It looks like off road e-scooter 2.0. The first thing that struck me upon seeing it, was the front motorcycle style inverted hydraulic shock absorber. It looks like it can handle some heavy duty riding and provide high performance on most surfaces.
Power is tremendous from dual 1200 W motors that will reach a top speed of 50 mph (80 kph). If you still have opted out of a full face helmet...maybe now is a good time to get one. This machine looks like it can and will rip up most of what is thrown at it. 11 inch tubeless knobby fat tires, that front hydraulic and rear spring suspension, front/rear hydraulic disc brakes with ABS, all there to make you feel secure in your equipment. It takes 1.9 seconds to reach 15 mph (24 kph) and 9.4 seconds to 40 mph (64 kph)!!...so if you like that buzz of acceleration... well then. It looks like you could take a sledgehammer to it and it would not brake.
Sturdy built frame but still cool looking in a way that scares other scooters off. In eco single engine drive it will give a range of 70 miles (112 km). It is not the cheapest electric scooter out there but, you usually get what you pay for, and this is one of the fastest scooters out there now.

The Dualtron Thunder is a no nonsense well put together fast electric scooter. Top speed is the same as the Wolf Warriors 50 mph (80 kph) and like the Wolf it also comes with ABS and hydraulic dual disc brakes. It has a three step fully adjustable swing arm suspension system to customize your ride options. 11 inch tubeless airfilled tires are a good choice for such a fast scooter but they are not off road tires. Range is 75 miles (120 km) which puts it at the top of the table in that category. A nice feature is the extra wide deck to stand on. For a fast electric scooter such as this, it is nice to have that extra bit of space for your feet. A good choice for the one looking for speed delivered with a smooth ride to boot.

Hydraulic adjustable dual disc brakes work perfect and seems to be the standard for all these high speed electric scooters. This one also has two of the brightest led headlights we've seen so far on the stem. Another two forward led lights at the front of the deck also helps with visibility as well as flashing braking taillight.
Acceleration is phenomenal due to dual motors with tons of torque, climbing hills is not a problem. Front and back spring arm suspension gives that nice ride quality and soaks up bumps in the road with ease. Price tag is around the 3 000 USD mark, as with the competitors in this range of powerful electric scooters. Build quality is good, as it should be at this asking price. Eco riding mode will take you 50+ miles (80+ km) if you can control yourself that is. All in all a good choice if you really want to go this fast.

60-80 Miles Per Hour Electric scooters

At the top of the pyramid in e-scooter max speed world (for now at least) we have come to what one would expect, knowing man's quest for more of everything, especially when it comes to speed and conquering new territories and "daredevilness", as the RION takes the whole question of fastest electric scooter and settles it. This is basically a racing scooter in all purposes. Ok so let's get to the top speed question. There are two versions, as with sportscar manufacturers, they build something really fast, but then something even faster for those customers who just have to be at the top of that pyramid. A Racing Edition or some such.
For the RE 60, the top speed is 60 mph (96 kph), and the RE 80 Racing Edition 80.7 mph (130 kph)!! We're talking lightweight composite body, carbon and glass fibre, four piston calibers dual hydraulic disc brakes, slick tires, yes you read that right, slick tires! It was only a matter of time wasn't it. Upgrading core components available to get more performance out of it once you are ready for that. This is not a scooter for everyone as you probably would expect.
Range is not really what these scooters are about, but slow conservative riding might bring 30 miles (50 km) or so. Going fast and ripping up the tarmac..probably about 12 miles (20 km). No kickstand, no lighting, no horn, no display, is how you keep weight down and also...kind of demonstrates the "racing" purpose of these beasts. Full body protection gear anyone?

Some manufacturers allow for updates. If you want to make your e-scooter go faster it might be worth checking for replacement or upgrade battery. Many don't but there are some who do, and yours might be the one allowing for it.
How long does it take to charge an electric scooter?
Depending on the charger and the size of your batter charge times can vary from a couple of hours up to 10 hours. Generally most scooters have 4-8 hours of required charge time. Keep in mind, to preserve battery life you should never let your battery fully deplete before charging. This will of course also reflect the true charging time as most given specifications are from depleted to full. So most of the time you will probably find your self charging for a few hours in between rides.
